"This is a wonderful cover for your Kindle Fire. Even though it is not leather, it is like it is. I ordered the $40 leather cover likewise and they felt comparable. This include holders the Kindle nicely without treatment (on its part) that this costlier cover wouldn't(it retained falling). It provides a nice permanent magnetic drawing a line under (instead of awkward flexible). Altogether -- great value."

The content appears like leather- even different stitches and consistency - just not the smell. The duvet back resembles suede- very impressive. The Kindle is inserted over the part very easily for a nice fit with a velcro strap to safe it. There is absolutely no disturbance with all the on/off button or perhaps the wall charger container.
